Well once more we have new employment. Will started his new and most exciting job as a casher as Wal-Mart. Yes I know you are all so jealous we now can get an additional 10% off our shopping at the already ridiculously low priced must have items at every Wal-Mart nationwide!!! ((((Happy dance)))). Whahahaha we can go shopping all of the time with all of the 1000’s of dollars we will now be saving…. (looks at paycheck)…Oh wait I forgot the fact that Wal-Mart also has ridiculously low wages and benefits so I guess the shopping spree will have to wait until either Will or I get a real job with real hours and pay.

LOL it’s not that bad. We are just grateful to have employment at all. They have started Will out at part time and if they like how he is doing they will move him to fulltime. They also promote from within and they are already talking about him getting into a Costumer Service Manager position. (this is also know as a CSM this is what he did when he worked for wal-mart last time. It pays better. So we will just hold on and wait and see what is going to happen.

I have been unsuccessful finding employment as well. I loved being a stay at home mom for so many years but unfortunately most companies don’t look on it as a positive thing and so are hesitant.

Have you ever noticed that when you are working full time and running around like you head is cut off that you seam to get more done? And when you having nothing to do you just sit and waist you life away??? Well I have found that to be true for me. When I was working I got all kinds of stuff done, a wedding, quilt, kids, work, dinners etc… but know the day just passes sometimes and I have accomplished nothing. Yes the house may get clean the dinners cooked and such but I’m not nearly as productive. Why is that?

Oh the mysteries of time and space will it elude me for ever?? Perhaps but I will continue to study the phenomenon of the more free time you have the more time you waste mystery.

Sad day with us. A friend of ours husband died Thursday morning. He had been ill for a long time he had an inoperable tumor in his brain. They are younger then Will and I and have 6 children. Life is so uncertain. One never knows when its all over.

It brought back memories of when Will had his car accident it was so frightening! At that time we had 3 young children; when the doctors told me things did not look good I worried how in the world could I ever take care of these children all by my self. I am so blessed that the Lord decided to let him stay with us.

My heart goes out to her. I hope that we all live each day to the fullest. Life is hard and bad at times but each day is full of wonderful things take time to smell the flowers God put them there for a reason.

The shadow boxes with the jewelry in them are Jewelry that was Will’s mothers or grandmothers. It’s a great way to enjoy them when they don’t really go with my outfits. lol Well to tell the truth I did wear them but liked them so much I wanted to look at them all of the time.
The table we got at an auction here in town and it will be moved to where the piano is. Jessica is going to get the piano she and Brandon play and so it will be much happier at their house. The painting in the dinning room we also got at the auction.


Let us know what you think of it all. and any advice will be taken under careful consideration. I love working on the house. Anyone who wants to come down and help get it looking even better we have an air mattress with your name on it waiting for you! lol

HAPPY VALENTIES DAY!!!!!

Valentines Day was a day for the kids. They had so much fun. They got lots of cards, boxes from their Aunt and Grandparents and lots and lots of candy and other junk from school.

I remember when I was young we would deliver valentines to our friends at night. We would knock on the door and run and they would come out and find it. But even better than that is when we would tie fishing string onto the valentine and knock and run when the person would come out they would bend down to pick it up and we would pull and the valentine would fly out of their hands it was so FUN!!! Until the one time a man came out and he did not bend down he put his foot on it and when we tried to pull it ripped the string off, he then reached down and triumphantly picked up the card and can you believe it he laughed at us. LOL I was not happy that was the last one we had and so my brother Blake and sister Gail, Alan might have been there too had to go home and that was the end of our fun. UNTIL next time WHAHAHAHAH!!!

Friday was a trip on the wild side for our house. I was on our back porch when this huge bird flew in carrying something long it looked like a snake or the spine of some dead animal. It was a Turkey Vulture. It landed and began munching on its little snack.


When I looked back a little later our cat Shadow was sitting there watching it eat and he kept getting closer and closer. The vulture was not intimidated at all in fact it began to move towards Shadow but Shadow was not to be intimidated either.



The posturing went on for sometime but finally Shadow got board and wandered off. The vulture ate until it was full and then it flew away. Wow this was a big bird those of you who have know our Shadow you will know how big this bird was.



Later that night Will and I went out to see what the vulture had been eating. I found some snake skin and said oh it was a snake; Will reached over to grab a stick to move it with and instead grabbed the entire skeleton of the snake!!! He thought it was a stick I yelled EWWWWW!!! It was so funny I never saw anyone drop anything so fast in their lives.

He very bravely picked it back up and took it to the trash can. He said that it was a little too late to worry about germs. It was great.

Well we are going to try and see how having this open to all who want to see it. We had it set to private because of the girls but I feel that we don't say anything that would not be ok for others to see.

I got my cross stitches back today but I need to take them back in the morning, they did not stretch the fabric and so they have wrinkles on them. They are beautiful and It makes me frustrated that I need to have them redone, but they just look all puffy in the frames. (the photos don't show it well) The green on the wall behind the cross stich is the color of our living room now. I will post the dinning room perhaps tomorrow the table was covered with junk and so I did not want all to see what a bad house keeper I am.

Thank you so much Nolana!!! You ROCK!!! I love these so much. I love that I have sisters that can do this type of thing and love me enough to make them for me. Now to get the one Gail and Bonnie made me framed then I will have one from everyone except Dianne. HINT HINT. I don't know if anyone elce cross stiches and if so you will always have a good home waiting for any you want to send my way.

How do you like my dragon? I got this a few weeks ago. I love dragons and having a half naked women on top will have to be overlooked. You really don't notice her at all do you? lol.

We are off to Autumns choris consert tonight she loves to sing and she does a good job at it too.

Well it has finally warmed up again. Most of our plant life is dead in the yard, I hope that it will come back. It is strange to see all of the brown and black leaves on so many plants around our neighborhood. We had some really hard freezes last week and it was below freezing for over 10 hours at night and that is way too long for our wimpy Florida plant life lol. This is a photo of a vine in our yard that butterflies lay their eggs on. Well not now they wount lol.

Just a few weeks ago butterflies were all over the place, they would land on the Spanish moss for the night. I had a great butterfly garden but now I will have to buy more plants DARN lol I love to buy plants.

The dinning room and living rooms are basically done. I am waiting on the two cross stitches I’m getting framed before putting anything on the walls. They are supposed to be done on Thursday. Once I have them we will finish the room and take photos for all to see. I have really gotten the decorating but. I love taking what I have and moving it around and making things look wonderful. It is amazing how inexpensive redecorating can be with just a little paint. But it looks like we spent the big bucks $$$$ lol.

Josh made a crossbow for his engineering class He and Will had a great time working on it. He is totally in his element when he is designing his projects his teacher says he is one of her best student. He will do a shadowing assignment in the next few weeks. He will go to work with an engineer to see if that is what he wants to do.

Well off to church for the youth stuff lol. the girls love going the boys well... They are teens after all.
